Hotel Cafe Koppel Konditorei in Bingen am Rhein

Hello everyone, would like to enjoy a leisurely breakfast here again. Stay healthy;-)

Very rude. I finished my cake while checking some emails on my laptop, also waiting to feel a crave for a drink, as the ginger tea that I offered was not available. Everything had been very nice until then but suddenly a woman approached me telling me that I had to get out of there as I should be eating and not just hanging out. She didn't ask me what drink I would like to have instead of the ginger tea, noor whether I wanted to eat something else, not... just very rude.

We wanted to try a different pastry chef this year and have tried it here. It should be a snail shaped cake with either cream or buttercream. The boss was ordered in advance. Before I could really explain to the lady what we wanted, there was already a "No, that doesn't work!" When I asked her if it wouldn't work with buttercream, she also said no. I said it shouldn't be that complicated, a round cake, grooves in it, then a box cake cut into shape. Pure filling. Fondant or something similar on it. Then she just said snuggly: "Then do it!". If I had the time, I would certainly not have shown up there. Something incompetent is still called a pastry chef. I went straight to the nearby confectioner Röthgen, they took the order straight away and implemented it very well. not even worth this star

We like to have breakfast here, the price / performance ratio is right, the staff are very nice and attentive.

A treat for the eyes and nose as soon as you enter the pastry shop. Inviting atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Everything clean and attractive. We like to come back for a delicious break and recommend the café very much.

The Hotel Köppel is an older building which is located directly in the pedestrian zone. The rooms are quiet. We were lucky enough to get a free car park (there are only 2 spaces available nearby). We could park the bikes in the courtyard. The bathroom urgently needs renovation. The shower faucet is very difficult to dose and the shower partition is very old. Unfortunately we missed a safe. The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was rich and the special extra: there is a small bottle of sparkling wine every day and each guest can choose a piece of cake of their choice (from the rich and very delicious range).

Nice, nice hotel near the old town of Bingen. Very friendly hotel operator. The breakfast was great and very rich, and you could also choose a piece of cake or kitchen from the in-house pastry shop. A next visit is already planned.

On the way back from Rüsselsheim to Dusseldorf we made a short stop in Bingen. We found this here as the only cafe that was open on Saturday. They actually didn't want to let us in because it was supposedly full. After a tip from my wife that it was If people were going to leave, we came in. The cake tasted really good!

The great location of the hotel and the friendliness of the owner couple convinced me. The breakfast is varied and lovingly prepared. The coffee tastes great. Despite the city center location, the hotel is quiet because after the shops are open, the hotel is quiet. Because my train didn't leave until late in the evening, I was given a key to put the suitcase down. Very obliging.

The hotel smells of coffee & cake. The staff is very friendly. We could park bicycles. Too bad that in the bathroom there was a small bag of shower gel for 2 people. , no shampoo. The water from the shower ran into the room ... something urgently needs to be done. At breakfast we had to ask for the cake, but it was also service for me to offer the customer, so it seemed a little reluctant. The service staff was on the cell phone all the time ... plates were not cleared. That was a shame ... gave a more negative picture than it normally is.

Small, aging hotel. Staff is always friendly. Since there was no breakfast buffet because of Corona, the prepared one was served quickly. The cake is really delicious. Unfortunately, the nightly volume in front of the hotel also bothered us a lot. Fortunately we had pegs with us. The great area with its vineyards and castles made up for it. The castle trip by ship is highly recommended.

Coffee & hi-class deserts! We were there during our trip to wine festival. This place has a lot of seating area (in- and outside). They have an enourmous number of tasty sweetdelights from chocolate to cakes - everything looks amazing and tastes even better. The girl, who was taking an order from us was charming and super-polite, she also said that we can pay with card inside & all cakes can be seen there too. Totally reccomend for a visit! Good for adults and kids

A very nice cafe in Bingen. Great selection of cakes, delicious and inexpensive. Highly recommended when visiting Bingen! Was there with a bus for 55 people to drink coffee. All visitors were full of praise. Will definitely go there again with a tour group.

We really enjoyed our breakfast here, but our favorite thing was the Punschtorte cake! We tried cakes two other places and they just didn't even compare.

Very good I was in hospital 5 years ago in bingen and my wife stayed at the hotel we were on a new trip and had to go back for coffee and it was as nice as we remembered, hopefully will come back again
